1. Introduction
Monarch Studios Ltd was created for children who love dance and wish to grow technically in their art form. Our goal is to provide students, from beginners to advanced levels, with high-quality classes to help them excel as leaders in both their chosen discipline and everyday life. Monarch Studios offers a full schedule of weekly classes, guest choreographers, and audition opportunities. Our dance programs are rooted in ballet, the foundation of dance, and reflect our commitment to excellence. We pride ourselves on fostering a family-like atmosphere, with friendly, experienced, and dedicated professional instructors who support students in reaching their full potential. Our nurturing, safe, and fun environment, combined with a supportive parent community, allows students to thrive and progress quickly.

2. Fees, Deposits, and Refunds

2.1 A one-time registration fee is charged for the first term unless the student is a member of Foxhills, The River Bourne Club, or a student at Cranleigh School. Please inform us if this applies so we can waive the fee.

2.2 Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes, and an invoice will be raised for the full term.

2.3 Fees will only be prorated if a student begins after half-term.

2.4 A pro-forma invoice will be issued for students enrolling mid-year to secure class placement for the following term. Payment is required immediately upon receipt.

2.5 Refunds are not provided for non-attendance. However, missed classes may be made up by attending another scheduled class or, subject to availability, through private lessons (private lesson fees apply).

2.6 Refunds will not be issued for classes that must be canceled and rescheduled.

2.7 Fees are subject to VAT.

2.8 Invoices must be settled before the start of each term. An 8% late payment charge will apply to invoices not paid by the due date.

2.9 New students must pay using the pro-forma invoice after their taster classes.

2.10 Payments may be made via card (E-Invoice), bank transfer (quoting invoice number and student’s name), or by telephone for credit/debit card transactions. Cash payments are not accepted.

2.11 Monarch Studios Ltd is not responsible for cheques left at Reception, given to teachers, or handled by unauthorised persons.

2.12 Private lesson fees are only credited to your account if we are given one month's written notice of any cancellation so that we can cancel studio bookings and teachers in time. Last-minute cancellations are subject to a charge in full.

3. Register, Attendance, and Absence

3.1 Class registers are maintained by teachers for health, safety, and security purposes.

3.2 If a class is canceled due to teacher illness, extreme weather, or unforeseen events, Monarch Studios Ltd will endeavor to reschedule or offer an alternative class. This may result in a different day or time, or an extension to the term dates. Refunds will not be issued in such cases.

3.3 In the event of force majeure or government restrictions preventing in-person classes, online classes via Zoom will be implemented immediately. No refunds will be provided for these classes. If a student does not participate in online classes, they may lose their place upon returning to in-person sessions.

3.4 If a student is required to self-isolate due to NHS Track & Trace, classes may be attended via Zoom or made up by attending additional classes upon return. No refunds will be given for classes missed due to illness or isolation.

4. Late Payment

4.1 The payer will receive verbal and written notice if payment is not received in accordance with these terms.

4.2 Monarch Studios Ltd reserves the right to charge a late payment fee of 8% if an invoice remains unpaid after the first class of the term.

4.3 Instalment payments are subject to a 8% surcharge.

5. Right to Attend, Change Classes, Withdrawal, and Termination of Attendance

5.1 If an invoice remains unpaid at the start of term or upon enrolment, the student will not be admitted to class until full payment is received or an agreed first instalment is made.

5.2 Monarch Studios Ltd reserves the right to remove students from classes if fees remain unpaid after the term commences.

5.3 A full term’s written notice is required for any student wishing to withdraw from classes at Monarch Studios. Notice must be submitted in writing (via email) to the studio’s administrative office no later than the final day of the term preceding the term of intended withdrawal. Failure to provide timely notice will result in the full tuition fee for the following term being due and payable, regardless of attendance. Verbal notification to instructors or staff does not constitute formal notice. Refunds or release from payment obligations will not be granted without adherence to this policy.

6. Waiver

6.1 Physical contact may be necessary for instruction. If you have concerns, please contact the Director, Jennifer Read, at 07403278197.

6.2 Dance, tumbling, and acrobatics carry inherent risks. Upon registration, you release Monarch Studios Ltd from any liability for injury, damage, or loss sustained during participation in studio activities, performances, or rehearsals.

6.3 Monarch Studios Ltd may photograph or record students at classes and events for promotional purposes, including use on social media. Full names of children will not be disclosed. No financial compensation will be provided for such use. By registering, you acknowledge Monarch Studios Ltd’s right to use these materials at its discretion. If you do not want your child to be photographed, please notify us upon registration.

7. Data Protection

7.1 Monarch Studios Ltd stores customer and student information for operational purposes, including membership management, education records, and class administration.

7.2 Monarch Studios Ltd will not share personal data with third parties without consent, except where required by law.

7.3 From time to time, we may contact you about services or classes relevant to your child’s participation. By registering, you consent to Monarch Studios Ltd storing your data for class registration, safeguarding, and administrative purposes.
