Kate is originally from the USA and holds her B.A. in Dance Performance from Point Park University. She has danced professionally with Chicago Repertory Ballet, Giordano Dance Chicago II, Piel Morena Contemporary Dance and the City of Chicago’s Dance in the Parks, where she also served as the company’s Assistant Director and President of the Board from 2011-2017. Along with being a soloist with Chicago Repertory Ballet, she also served as the company’s Administrative Director and Marketing Team Member from 2013-2017.

Kate holds a Level 4 Teaching Qualification from bbodance, where she also served as the organisation’s Teaching Qualifications & Student Course Administrator. Her past teaching credits include the Joffrey Academy's ISDI and DanceLab programmes, Dance Masters of America – Wisconsin (master teacher), Midwest Performing Arts (master teacher), Principle Dance Studio and North Shore School of Dance. Kate was also the Director of the North Shore Repertory Dance Ensemble, a pre-professional performance group for dancers ages 14-18 from 2012-2016.

Along with teaching and performing, Kate spent 2 years touring the US as a national adjudicator with VIP Dance Competition.
